On July 2 Chris Cox of the National Rifle Association sent out a notice that we have this month of July to defend our Second Amendment freedoms. Probably the most notable threat to our gun rights ever. The U. N. is in New York for a month of meetings to put the final touches on an international Arms Trade Treaty. Has anyone seen or heard of this in the media? Bet not.
Imagine a program implementing international gun registration requirements run by people in the U. N. on this important subject. This “law” will include bans on commonly owned firearms registration and tracking including ammunition. Imagine a U.N. gun control bureaucracy run by anyone let alone the United Nations.
This may seem absurd to you but think about what this Administration has forced upon us so far. Treaties are supposed to be ratified by Congress, right? They would not be meeting if they thought this was a lost cause.
Of course our own U.S. Representative Raul Grijalva is right in the middle of this and “strongly urges the United States to take a strong leadership role in the Arms Trade Agreement”. Normally I would think he just found a new drug; he has in fact, it’s called “Obamanation”.
Raul Grijalva has said and/or supported many causes over the years. This 2nd Amendment threat is no surprise. Representative Grijalva is an anti-business, anti-military, anti-sovereignty, affirmative action and a racial activist. He is pro-social justice and a member of the Progressive Caucus and a past member of the Socialist Party of America, in fact co-chair. Raul Grijalva is not one of us. But he is so in-articulate few see him as a threat to America.
This man is a threat to everything we stand for and this is the year for him to be retired from his long and failed political career.
