Rison sentenced to probation, $300,000 restitution

Former NFL football player, Andre Previn Rison, was sentenced in federal district court in Phoenix to five years’ probation and more than $300,000 in restitution for not paying child support. Rison was indicted by a federal grand jury on August 30, 2011, of one count of Failure to Pay Child Support.

Between August 2008 and August 2011, Rison failed to pay a past due court-imposed child support obligation for over two years.

A conviction for Failure to Pay Child Support carries a maximum penalty of two years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine or both.
