Input sought for Pima County Superior Court judge

The Pima County Commission on Trial Court Appointments is asking for public input on six candidates for a vacancy on the Pima County Superior Court.

The candidates for Pima County Superior Court are Lisa I. Abrams, Darlene Edminson-O’Brien, Brenden J. Griffin, Kathleen A. Quigley, Christopher L. Straub and Pamela A. Treadwell-Rubin.

Citizens may address the Commission about any of the candidates at a hearing being held on August 30, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at the Tucson Police Department, 1310 W. Miracle Mile, Tucson, AZ 85705. Public comment will not be accepted after the 8:30 a.m. hearing. Candidate interviews are open to the public and will follow the public hearing.

Written comments about candidates can be sent to the Commission at 1501 West Washington, Suite 221, Phoenix, AZ, 85007 or by email to jnc@courts.az.gov. Written comments must arrive by August 28th to be considered. Anonymous comments cannot be considered.

After the interviews, the Commission will recommend at least three nominees for the vacancy to Governor Jan Brewer, who will appoint the new judge.
