Flake understands how it works

In Monday night’s debate between Richard Carmona and Jeff Flake, it was truly unsettling how little understanding Carmona has of how the Congress operates. While you would expect first time candidates to have a learning curve, Carmona was Surgeon General and as such had many interactions with Congress. Jeff Flake tried to explain how committee hearings operate and how congressional travel occurs between sessions, but Carmona was either too clueless to assimilate the information or just plain obstinate in clinging to false perceptions. Richard Carmona is not a man who should have access to the reigns of national governance. Rather, let him continue to focus on the health benefits of mud packs and other spa treatments at Canyon Ranch.
