On August 30, 2012, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a break-in into the Super H store at 2710 West Ruthrauff Road in Tucson. The suspect was caught on surveillance video and detectives with the Sheriff’s Burglary Unit received several tips from citizens.

These tips lead to the identification of two of the individuals shown as Donnie Wyatt Burt, age 43, the burglar, and David Aaron Mosseri, age 29. Detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant for Burt on charges of Trafficking in Stolen Property, 1st Degree Burglary and Theft of Property or Services. Mosseri is now wanted on a felony warrant for a charge of Forgery.

On August 30, Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident and spoke to the store’s owner. She explained that she arrived on scene this morning and found the store ransacked. Deputies discovered a hole cut through the bathroom wall in the back of the business. They also found a variety of burglary tools and other items belonging to the suspect. The store was equipped with a video surveillance system which caught the perpetrator in the act.

In the video it is clearly visible that Burt was armed with a handgun carried in a belt holster on the right side of his body. He stole a variety of items, to include lottery tickets and a checkbook. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Burglary Unit were able to track some of the lottery tickets as well as the checks and in the process identified additional suspects. They were also visible on surveillance footage as they attempted to cash some of the tickets and checks at various locations.

In addition to these articles, detectives were able to identify a vehicle that was used by the suspect during the burglary. This was a red van with a white top bearing an Alaska license plate. Detectives found out that this particular van had been stolen from a storage facility at 1901 North Oracle Road on August 18, 2012. Therefore, they determined that the suspect used this van between August 18 and September 13, 2012, the day it was discovered in the parking lot of Tucson Mall.
