November 6th was a very bad day for America. For reasons I am still trying to understand many have decided that America must change its course away from the principals of our founding fathers; away from individual freedoms and individual responsibility. The new course is toward government control and allowing our dear leaders to show us the way as Obama has been preaching. This is so sad. I had no idea so many people were this disenfranchised from American idealism.
Most of the people I know are thinking four years of the socialist agenda should have been a lesson. But no! Obama has been given the opportunity to “fundamentally transform America” as he declared he wanted to do in 2008. The groundwork has been set with socialized medicine only weeks from being the law. The failed economic stimulus programs, the failed government attempts at enterprise in solar manufacturing, the takeover of General Motors rather than allowing that once great company to go through bankruptcy reorganization … and our trillion dollar debt; all are part of this administration’s mission to change America. These were all failures and Obama still gets re-elected. What happened America?
Most of the people I know remain absolutely shocked that this administration can inject a new system in our structure of government, and usurp Congressional oversight with impunity, with the use of czars; most with pretty creepy pasts. Then proceed to restrict energy development and reward illegal immigration, etc. Our main stream media has lost its way. The media seems incapable of seeking the truth as we were taught in journalism classes of another time. I remember using Pravda as an example of the opposite of great American journalism. Now I look to Pravda for stories about America.
Are we so weak as a nation that we are able to allow an administration with this anti-American ideologue at the helm to change us so much? To successfully divide us by economic level, religion and race so much in just four years? Even the Russian paper Pravda believes this election must have been fraught with voter fraud and intimates the American people cannot be this stupid or ignorant [sic].
Our government is a democratic republic and we have always been at risk if our people were not well educated and people got lazy. That is the nature of democracy. The Democrat Party leaders of today do not much represent my parents Democrat Party; many of these people too are ideologues. I do not remember much about the Communist Party of America but now Communists are members of the Democrat Party. I believe past generations of Americans would have never allowed this level of corruption of ideology and power to take place in our government. Forty years ago, if I were to give the media my list of the 80 Democrat senators and congressman who are registered socialists, I would see it published. Not today! What happened to the America I knew?
What is next America? Do we really wait for the next presidential election or do we have an “era of enlightenment” whereby the people of America just wake up and let the full rush of American idealism come back into our lives. Let’s work on this being a reality before 2013 comes to an end. That is my dream.
