Glendale man shoots partier in 49ers CC

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a shooting during a family party in the 11900 block of East Barbary Coast Road in 49ers Country Club on December 22, 2012, at about 3:50 a.m. Deputies responded to the scene and found a 30-year old male who had suffered a gunshot wound to his head.

Robert Wallace, from Glendale was found in the backyard of the residence and taken into custody. The victim was transported to University of Arizona Medical Center for treatment.

Detectives found that family members and neighbors had come together for a party at the home. In the early morning hours, an argument erupted between two male guests. At one point during this argument 37-year-old Wallace, produced a handgun and fired a round at the victim. The bullet struck the victim in the head causing a non-life-threatening injury.

Detectives arrested Wallace for one count of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon. He was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center.
