On December 26, 2012 at about 12:15 p.m., Pima County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to a residence near the 6700 block of North Galaxy, for a report of an explosion in the vehicle garage.
It was reported that when the explosion occurred, the resident was possibly mixing chemicals, attempting to manufacture homemade exploding targets. The materials used are unknown at this time.
There was minimal damage to property in the garage. No physical injuries reported. The Pima Regional Bomb Squad responded to the scene and an investigation is underway.
