After nearly a 5 minute drought the score with 7:43 to go in the 1st half was only 13-10 with the Huskies on top. After that mark though the Cats were completely in control running out to a 33-25 lead at the half. The Wildcats defense was at its best tonight, completely keeping the Huskies from getting in rhythm. For the Huskies Abdul Gaddy had 12 points, 3 assist while C.J. Wilcox added 15 points. The Huskies shot 20-65 for the game failing to convert on layups, jumpers, and three pointers.
Sean Miller went deep tonight on his bench playing ten players which also included Angelo Chol and Grant Jerrett, and Gabe York. He stayed big and the Cats came up with 8 blocks completely disrupting the Huskie offense. The advantage though played out mostly for the Wildcat starters as it appeared they had fresher legs down the stretch and could keep their intensity.
Next the Wildcats face Washington State at McKale Center on Saturday at 5p.m. While Washington State has had a disappointing season they are still capable of the upset as they took Oregon into overtime only last week.
