According to the report, Arizona universities are playing an active role in the campaign to bring California business to Arizona. The universities offer programs that are practical and job-oriented, seeking to provide CEOs coming from California what they need in order to do business.
Arizona lawmakers say the marriage of the education community and the business community is one more reason why Arizona is a good alternative for the 24 California businesses who have already committed to leaving the state.
Most cities in Arizona, with rare exceptions like Tucson, focus on fast-track permitting for businesses, allowing certified architects and engineers in Phoenix to get permits in a single day. In addition, Arizona has placed a moratorium on future regulations for business. Both of these practices make it easier for companies to do business quickly and efficiently.
