On January 22, 2013, deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 8600 block of North Katapa Trail in reference a possible burglary. Upon arrival and after speaking to the reportee, deputies learned that the residents at the incident location returned home from work and became suspicious after their children told them their Playstation was missing.
The victims then discovered other items missing and ultimately found out they had been burglarized. Deputies processed the crime scene and secured possible evidence. They learned that the thieves had taken electronics, PlayStation games, movies, and jewelry.
The homeowner also turned over surveillance video showing a male individual standing at a fenced gate to the residence. He rang the doorbell and then used what appeared to be a cell phone. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Burglary Unit are investigating. They consider the individual shown in the picture a person of interest.
Detectives are asking anyone who can identify the person shown in the picture to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME or for the person shown in the picture to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. The investigation continues.
