GoDaddy helps police nab Tucson child pornographer

In April, 2012, Go-Daddy.com became aware that someone had used their services to create a child pornography website. The site was advertising the sale and distribution of child pornography. Information was eventually turned over to the Tucson Police Departments Internet Crimes Against Childrens Unit.

The investigation was worked in conjunction with the Oro Valley Police Department.

After months of investigation, detectives were able to identify a suspect in the case. The investigation led them to the service of a search warrant at an apartment complex located in the 2400 block of South Mission Road on March 7, 2013. Detectives located evidence related to the sexual exploitation of a minor and commercial exploitation of a minor.

The suspect in this case was identified at 32-year old Kurt Quimby. He was arrested at his place of employment later that day. He was booked into the Pima County Jail for 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and 2 counts of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

The Tucson Police Department is asking anyone with information related to Mr. Quimby’s activities to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
