Toni Hellon has been appointed to serve as the Clerk of the Superior Court for Pima County by Governor Jan Brewer on Friday. Hellon’s appointment was made to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Patricia A. Noland, which is effective March 31, 2013.
Hellon has served for six years as Chief Deputy Clerk for Pima County. Earlier, she was Executive Assistant to Pima County Supervisor Mike Boyd, and Chief Deputy Recorder for Pima County. Hellon is an ongoing member of the Governor’s Advisory Board for the Arizona Film Commission.
Hellon’s husband, Mike, ran in the Pima County Board of Supervisors Republican Primary this last year and lost to Ally Miller.
Hellon was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2000, 2002 and 2004. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Arizona (1985).
