On March 17, 2013, at 9:45 p.m., Tucson Police Department officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 2100 block of South Pantano Road. Upon arrival, officers located single vehicle which had been involved in a serious collision. The driver, 22-year old Daniel Jacob Drakin Hart, was the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives determined that a 1988 Chevrolet Capris was traveling northbound on Pantano Road. As the road curved to the left, the vehicle continued straight, striking a concrete pole, a fire hydrant, and a large metal utility pole. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
