Pima County robber gets $50 and cigarettes

On April 1, 2013, at approximately 2:10 a.m., deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Circle K at 4605 W. Valencia reference a robbery. Upon arrival, they learned from the store clerk that prior to him calling 9-1-1 a male individual came into the store and asked to purchase a carton of cigarettes.

The male then suddenly produced a handgun and demanded not only the cigarettes but cash as well. As the handing over of the cash apparently did not go quick enough, the suspect jumped onto the counter and continued his threats. The store clerk handed the suspect $50. The robber then grabbed the cigarettes and left the store.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall with a thin build, a scruffy beard and sideburns. Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has any other information on this case is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
