Suspect sought in death of AM/PM clerk

The Tucson Police Department is again seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the May 17th murder of 22-year old Erick Bridges. Detectives have recovered a hooded sweatshirt and backpack believed to belong to the suspect in this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.

On May 17, 2013 at 1:01 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the AM/PM located at 7601 East Tanque Verde Road. Upon arrival, officers located Bridges, an employee of the AM/PM, suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. On the afternoon of May 18, Mr. Bridges succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives determined that the suspect entered the AM/PM and was involved in a short confrontation with Mr. Bridges before stabbing him with an unknown object. The suspect then left the store. Mr. Bridges was found by a customer who immediately called 911.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, early 20’s, 5’07” to 5’08” tall, with a thin build.
