Eloy is a city of approximately 17,000 in Southern Arizona’s Pinal County. The fast-growing community and region are served by the Eloy Municipal Airport. Holbrook is a city of about 5,000 in Northern Arizona’s Navajo County. It is the gateway to the Petrified Forest National Park, which draws more than 600,000 visitors every year.
$143,875 to Eloy Municipal Airport: This grant will provide funding to conduct an airport drainage study. The study will evaluate the poor condition of the airport drainage and recommend necessary improvements.
$273,725 to Eloy Municipal Airport: This grant will provide funding for the rehabilitation of the taxiway, which is needed to maintain structural integrity of the pavement.
$136,590 to Holbrook Municipal Airport: This grant will improve the outdated runway lighting system, which requires rehabilitation to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions.
Arizona Representative Ann Kirkpatrick, who serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, said, “Each of these municipal airports plays a critical role in its local economy. We need to ensure their infrastructure is strong and ready to help these areas grow and thrive.”
