On the afternoon of July 23, Tucson Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 4600 block of East North Street in response to a call from a family member of the elderly couple that lived at the residence.
Upon their arrival, they found the family member, who had called 911, waiting for them outside of the house. The officers were advised that the residents were inside of the house, and both of them appeared to be seriously injured. Officers entered the residence and found an adult male and adult female inside. Both were in their mid-80s. Both were also suffering from obvious signs of trauma. The officers determined that both the male and female were deceased.
Their identities are being withheld at this time pending notification of other family members.
Detectives are trying to determine who had last seen or had contact with either the male victim or female victim. The investigation continues. The detectives request that anyone having information about the incident, suspect(s), or motive(s) relating to this investigation please call 911 or 88-Crime.
