Vail Incorporation final town hall planned

The Citizens for Vail committee will hold the final Town Hall meeting on Proposition #403 to Incorporate Vail, on Thursday, October 10th, 6:30 p.m. at Old Vail Middle School. With early ballots being mailed on October 10th, this will be the last opportunity for Vail residents to ask questions and discuss the incorporation initiative in the town hall format being sponsored by the committee.

Although the election is on November 5th, early ballots make up over 50% of registered voters and will most likely determine the outcome of the town’s future as an incorporated area. Curt Cowley, small business owner and Citizens for Vail committee member said, “For over six years, citizens of our community have discussed, debated and researched the option for Incorporation. Now, with over 11,000 residents, the town of Vail finally has the opportunity to decide if it wants to take control of its future or to keep everything the same, thus getting the same results.”

Although early ballots are mailed October 10th, voters will still have a chance to vote at their local polling place on November 5th. Proposition #403 to Incorporate Vail will be the only measure on the ballot this election cycle for residents who reside within the proposed Town of Vail boundary.
