Tucson woman victim of homicide

On November 21, 2013, at 11:46 a.m., Tucson Police officers responded to a check welfare call in the 1800 block of West Pueblo Vista Boulevard. The complainant reported to 911 that she had gone next door to visit the neighbor.

She went inside after receiving no response at the door and located the neighbor with obvious signs of trauma. She immediately left the home and called 911. Upon arrival, officers located a 65-year-old female inside the residence with obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers also located two dogs inside the home which had been injured.

Homicide detectives responded to continue the investigation. They are in the preliminary stages of this investigation and further details will be released when they become available. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
