ESPN college football awards, Carey a Doak Walker finalist

The Home Depot College Football Awards, now in its 23rd year, will once again air on ESPN, Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7p.m. ET, highlighting the achievements of college football student-athletes in 2013. Twenty-three players were selected as finalists today for the nine National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA) awards given annually during the show.

The University of Arizona’s home grown junior running back, Ka’Deem Carey, is one of three finalists for the Nation’s Premier Running Back- Doak Walker Award. Carey, who leads the nation for active players with 49 touchdowns, is joined by Pac-12 back Bishop Sankey (Washington) and Andre Williams (Boston College) for the award.

ESPN featured the below nominees during The Home Depot College Football Awards Nomination Special on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 5:30 p.m. The 30-minute show, hosted by Anish Shroff, will include player interviews and analysis from college football analyst Charles Arbuckle surrounding the finalists, which represent 17 teams.
