The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department has located human skeletal remains possibly associated with the missing vulnerable adult, Ms. Young Sook Crouch. Ms. Crouch’s vehicle was located near Rio Rico, Arizona at the end of Celaya Court on November 3, 2013.
A thorough search of the area was conducted by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department and remains were found approximately one mile southwest of where her vehicle was located. The remains have been turned over to the Office of the Medical Examiner, where the results are pending on the forensic examination to confirm the remains are those of Ms. Crouch.
Yesterday, it was reported that on January 12, 2014, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the 4600 block of North Spruce Lane to check the welfare of Ms. Young Crouch. When deputies arrived, they learned Ms. Crouch, a 77-year-old female, had not been seen or heard from since November 2, 2013.
Ms. Crouch lived by herself and has no known living relatives. It is believed that she may have suffered from dementia.
