Tucson hit & run victim dies, suspect sought

On Tuesday February 4, 2014, the victim in a hit and run case reported by the Arizona Daily Independent on December 29, 2013, succumbed to his injuries. The victim was identified as 55 -year-old David L. Hamilton.

December 19, 2013, at about 6:30 p.m., the Tucson Fire Department and Tucson Police Department responded to a report of a man down near the intersection of West Drexel Road and South Liberty Avenue. Upon arrival, TFD personnel located Mr. Hamilton with life threatening injuries as a result of a hit and run collision. He was located on the side of Drexel Road just west of Liberty Avenue. He was transported to a local area hospital where was treated for life threatening injuries.

Detectives have located the vehicle involved and a possible suspect. The investigation into the suspect involved in this incident is still ongoing.  No arrests have been made.
