Dr. Lewis Underwood, a naturalistic doctor practicing in Anthem, AZ, pleaded guilty this week to several charges in the sex case involving a child. Police said the doctor admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with the boy during an interview with deputies.
Underwood was charged with 11 counts of child molestation.
In 2010, Underwood pleaded not guilty after being arrested on suspicion of molesting a former employee’s then 9-year-old son and that investigators found pornography at his home.
Additional charges were filed six months later after the MCSO Sex Crimes Unit discovered more than 88,000 photographs and 1,500 videos depicting child pornography.
A Maricopa County Superior Court spokeswoman said Underwood faces an April 14 sentencing after pleading guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted molestation of a child.
