Quick action from Tucson Police thwarts robbery suspects

On March 4, 2014, at 11:15 p.m., Tucson Police responded to the location of East 5th Street and North about a report of a male who was hit in the head by two unknown male suspects. The male victim reported that after the two males struck him in the head, they stole his backpack.

Approximately 3-5 minutes later, the Tucson Police Air Support Unit located the two suspects walking in the immediate area. Officers detained the two males and located the victims debit card and identification card in their possession. The victim was able to identify the two males as the suspects who robbed him. All of his property was returned back to him, and the two assailants were arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail for Aggravated Robbery.
