Maricopa County teen sets bed on fire, upset with parents

On Thursday night, Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Litchfield Park residence at 13835 W Peck Court in reference to a call for criminal damage. While the deputies were speaking with the homeowners about the service call, the homeowner’s 15-year-old daughter, Neilani Perkins-Rodriguez, set fire to a notebook and placed it under her bed.

After seeing the fire spread, she alerted the deputies. Perkins-Rodriguez, age 15, has been charged with Arson of an Occupied Structure and 7 counts of endangerment.
