Pinal County Sheriff asking for tips to help solve March homicide

On Saturday, March 15th 2014, at about 5:19 p.m., the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from a motorist who reported a deceased Hispanic male inside of a vehicle. The motorist said he was driving by and saw the suspicious vehicle and stopped when he made the discovery. Deputies responded to the scene at the intersection of Stanfield Road and Miller Road in the unincorporated area of Stanfield.

When deputies arrived on scene, they observed a Hispanic male lying in the front seat of a Mercury four door sedan. The male was later identified as Juan Perez Jimenez, age 22, of Stanfield.

Perez was shot to death by unknown suspect(s).

Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, “Juan Perez Jimenez was brutally shot to death and left to die. While detectives are following up on leads we know there are other people who have information related to this case and we are asking them to come forward. If you have information and wish to remain anonymous we will ensure your identity is protected. Detectives want to bring closure to this case for the Jimenez family and ask for your help.
