Tucson firefighters rescue cat, dog from burning home

A fire broke out in a Tucson home in the 9100 block of East Bellevue Street, shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters were informed that a resident had gone back inside to rescue their pets. Nearly a quarter of single family home was engulfed in flames, according to the Tucson Fire Department.

Firefighters rescued a dog and a cat. Over 25 firefighters fought the fire.

The Tucson Fire Department officials say that they “know pets are part of the family but please never go back in to a house on fire, get out and stay out.”
The cause of the fire is currently known.
