Chief Deputy of the Pima County Sheriff’s office, Chris Nanos advises on Saturday night June 28, 2014, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Tucson Mountain District deputies responded to Ina Road and Ellexson Drive reference a single vehicle collision.
When deputies arrived, they learned 38-year-old Geneva McClean left a birthday party driving southbound on Ellexson Drive on an ATV. She drove through the intersection at Ina Road and collided head on with a brick and mortar mailbox. Deputies performed life saving measures on Ms. McClean until the Picture Rocks Fire Department arrived and took over.
She was transported to the trauma center where she was pronounced deceased. The Sheriff’s Department Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation. Ms. McClean was not wearing a helmet and alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
