PCC’s Dotson to continue collegiate softball career at UofA

Pima Community College softball player Alexis Dotson made her decision and will continue her collegiate career at the University of Arizona in the fall.

Dotson, a freshman outfielder, hit in the lead-off spot for the Aztecs this season as she finished with a .516 batting average with 111 hits in 215 at-bats, 36 steals, and 38 RBIs. She was selected NJCAA first-team All-American and NFCA first-team All-American.

“I have dreamed of playing for the UofA,” Dotson said in a phone interview. “Who wouldn’t want to play for them. They have a great program and a great coaching staff. It helped talking with Bekah (Pima Associate Coach Rebekah Quiroz), she knows how everything goes and other players who’ve gone from Pima to the UofA on how to get to ready and be mentally prepared.”
