On July 19, 2014, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to a collision involving a 5-year-old female and a vehicle in the 2100 block of East Orange Grove Road. When deputies arrived, they learned the collision occurred as the five year old and her seven year old brother were crossing Orange Grove Road.
The five year old was transported to the trauma center with life-threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Department Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
