Two arrested in Stanfield homicide May 15, 2104

Pinal County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives have arrested two suspects in the Homicide death of Juan Perez Jimenez .

On Saturday, May 15th, 2014 at 5:19 p.m. the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from a motorist regarding a deceased male located inside of a vehicle near the intersection of Stanfield Road and Miller Road in the unincorporated area of Stanfield. The victim had been shot to death by unknown suspects.

On Thursday, July 17th, 2014 Luis Albert Hernandez, age 33, of Stanfield and Estevan E. Angulo, age 35, of Stanfield, were arrested in connection with the murder of Juan Perez Jimenez, age 22.

An investigation led detectives to the arrests of Hernandez and Angulo. After being taken into custody and interviewed, Hernandez and Angulo made incriminating statements as to their involvement in this case.

Hernandez is charged with 1St Degree Murder and Kidnapping. He remains in custody at the Pinal County Jail with a $500,000.00 dollar bond.

Angulo is charged with 1St Degree Murder and Kidnapping. He remains in the custody at the Pinal County Jail with a $250,000.00 dollar bond.

Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, “Juan Perez Jimenez was shot and left to die in what appears to be an execution style murder. I hope with the arrests of Hernandez and Angulo the Jimenez family will have some closure and can start the healing process for the senseless murder of their son.”
