Around noon on Monday August 11, 2014 the Tucson Police Department Posted a brief notice on their Facebook page notifying the community that from August 11th to August 14th, there will be increased military presence in and around the City of Tucson for routine military training.
This training has been coordinated with the appropriate City and County officials. During these exercises, citizens may see and hear increased helicopter traffic related to this training. We encourage citizens not to be alarmed and to contact the Tucson Police Department with any questions or concerns.
The notification garnered some unexpected commentary on the pages of Facebook.
