Traffic to slow on I-10 near Loop 303 west of Phoenix

Traffic will be slowed this weekend on Interstate 10 near Loop 303 west of Phoenix while crews add a new layer of smooth rubberized asphalt to the freeway, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

I-10 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between Citrus Road and Jackrabbit Trail from 10:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 15).

Drivers with plans to use I-10 in the area are asked to consider adjusting their travel schedules to avoid anticipated traffic backups. Traffic is lighter during the early morning and nighttime hours.
