Tucson man dies after suspicious fall

On September 15, 2014, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the 3200 block of East Mossman Road. They were called by the Rural Metro Fire Department, who had initially responded to a report of a fall victim.

Upon arrival, deputies observed suspicious injuries on the victim and requested the Sheriff’s Department’s to respond to the scene. The victim, who was later identified as 72-year-old Clarence A. Russell, was transported to the University of Arizona Medical Center.

Mr. Russell later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
