Phoenix Police looking for sexual predator

On Monday, August 25, 2014 just after midnight, the victim was visiting a friend at the apartment complex at 15615 N. 35th Avenue. When she arrived, she parked her vehicle and started walking west in the south parking area. She heard someone walking behind her and when she looked back and saw the suspect following her. He asked her if she knew what time it was and she told him. A few seconds later, the suspect came up behind her and put her in a choke hold. He carried her to the small area between two vehicles and forced her on the ground.

The suspect pulled down his shorts and attempted to force the victim to engage in sex acts. The victim began to scream for help and a resident of the complex heard the screams and came to her aid. The witness pulled the suspect off of the victim and he ran southbound into the strip mall on the northeast corner of 35th Avenue and Greenway. The victim suffered strangulation injuries along with scratches.
