On December 4, 2014, the Department of Real Estate issued a Cease and Desist order directing Cristina L. Kirby and Desert Management & Maintenance Corporation also known as Desert Realty.
Kirby had written a check to a client that she knew was underfunded.
Kirby was ordered to immediately cease and desist from engaging in any rental and/or leasing activity in any capacity whatsoever, directly or indirectly within the State of Arizona, without first demonstrating full compliance with all applicable laws and rules and until such time as the Cease and Desist Order is vacated by the Commissioner.
