Officers referred a 22-year-old U.S. man living in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico for further questioning and a secondary inspection of his vehicle Dec. 5. After a CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to the presence of drugs inside one of the vehicle’s doors, officers found more than 13 pounds of cocaine worth $138,000.
On December 6, officers apprehended a 26-year-old woman from Mexico after a canine alerted to nearly nine pounds of meth, worth more than $26,000, concealed in the undercarriage of her vehicle.
Officers on December 7 found more than 19 pounds of cocaine, worth in excess of $200,000, inside a vehicle belonging to a 22-year-old Tucson woman after a drug detection canine alerted officers to the vehicle’s firewall.
Officers seized all drugs and vehicles, and turned the subjects over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
