Pima County jogger hit, hospitalized

On December 22, 2014, at approximately 6:05 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to South Vahalla Road and West Tight Line Drive reference a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. When deputies arrived, they learned a male jogger was crossing Vahalla Road from west to east when he was struck by a northbound passenger car.

The 26-year-old victim was transported to the trauma center by ambulance with life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Department traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation.
