Pima County man dies after crashing into cactus

On January 22, 2015, at approximately 8:10 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to a single vehicle Pima County man dies after crashing into cactus on Abrego Drive south of Paseo de Golf. When deputies arrived, they learned a passenger car left the roadway and collided with a cactus.

The driver, identified as 88-year-old Richard Wilson, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Sheriff’s Department Traffic Unit responded to investigate the incident.
