Suspect Arrested Following Shooting at Pima County Circle K

On January 22, 2015, at approximately 1:10 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to an unknown problem at the Circle K, located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road. When deputies arrived, they learned someone had been shot in the parking lot. However, the suspect and victim were not at the incident location.

The victim was located at a residence in the 3300 block of East Milton Road. He was transported to the trauma center with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies began a systematic search of the area in an attempt to locate the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Robert Mungia.

He was located in a shed in the 3200 block of East Milton Road. Robert Mungia was transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex and booked on the following charges:
• Attempted Murder, First Degree
• Aggravated Assault with a Deadly/Dangerous Instrument
• Disorderly Conduct
• Endangerment The Sheriff’s Department Robbery/Assault Unit responded and took over the investigation.
