The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has formed a strategic partnership with the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council. The organizations have a storied history in helping minority-owned businesses grow in the state of Arizona.

The Pacific Southwest MSDC, as an affiliate of the National MSDC, is a corporate membership organization that grows Minority Business Enterprises by providing certification, connection to contracting opportunities, development and advocacy, directly contributing to business growth. Certified MBEs of the Pacific Southwest Council are given powerful platforms for the interchange of introductions and information through a vast network of more than 470 national corporate members, 1,200 regional corporate members, and 12,000 certified MBEs. The Council certifies Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American suppliers residing in the State of Arizona and San Diego County.

Scott Gregory, President/CEO of the Pacific Southwest Council states “I see a very good fit between our two organizations. Members of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber can benefit from our MBE certification and subsequent connection to our corporate members’ procurement opportunities. The Chamber provides a platform to market our service offerings to Hispanic businesses in Southeastern Arizona and helps facilitate the Chamber’s procurement initiative.”

The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the largest Latino business organization in Arizona, represents over 1100 businesses in southern Arizona and Mexico.

“The Tucson Hispanic Chamber is excited to partner with the Pacific Southwest Council to promote this service to our members. Hispanic owned businesses are the fastest growing business sector in the United States. It is important to bring corporate procurement opportunities to businesses throughout Southern Arizona,” stated Lea Marquez Peterson, President/CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber.
