Rapper’s brother arrested for his murder

An arrest has been made in the January 15, 2015, murder of rapper Jeremy High. High’s brother Elijah Mays, was arrested on February 5, and booked into the Pima County Jail on one count of second degree murder.

According to police, on February 5, 2015, they received information about the possible whereabouts of Mays. Officers responded to a vacant house in the 7600 block of East Logan Place. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that was backed into the carport of the vacant home. As they approached the vehicle, Mays ran from the officers. The officers pursued him on foot and quickly detained him without incident.

High, 24, known as Jae High, was discovered by police on January 15, at 10:45 a.m., inside an apartment at 3225 S. Wilmot Road with gunshot trauma. On the morning of January 16, High succumbed to his injuries.
