On March 5, 2015 at approximately 7:26 a.m., the Casa Grande Police Department responded to the call of a collision involving a pedestrian. This collision occurred on Highway 84 just west of Pinal Avenue.
Police responded to the scene and discovered a red 2003 Hyundai Coupe in the roadway facing east bound and a female victim (pedestrian) lying in the roadway. The 24 year old male driver of the vehicle was not injured. The 41 year old female victim was flown to a Phoenix area hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators have determined the driver of the vehicle was traveling east on Highway 84 when he struck the victim who was crossing on the road way in a non designated crossing area. The female victim remains in critical condition at a Phoenix area hospital.
