Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue lead a multi-agency rescue operation on Wednesday just after 7 a.m. According to authorities, for unknown reasons, the 82-year-old’s truck went over an approximate 30-foot embankment just east of the Queen Creek Tunnel on SR-60, near Superior.
Using a stokes basket and rope, the team loaded up the patient and brought him back up to the roadway. The man’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Agencies involved include AZ DPS, Superstition Fire and Medical, TriCity FD, Queen Valley FD, Canyon FD, and Globe FD.
