Pima Sheriff Looking For Smoke Thieves

Pima County detectives are asking the public for help with the identification of suspects involved in two incidents of retail theft. The suspects struck two different Circle K stores on May 21st, 2015, and on June 12th, 2015.

1) On May 21st, 2015 at approximately 3:55 AM, the two men entered the Circle K at 3102 E. Benson Highway. They went behind the counter and took approximately $4,000 worth of alcohol and cigarettes.

2) On June 12th, 2015 at approximately 3:20 AM, they entered the Circle K located at 5818 S. Palo Verde Road. Once again, they went behind the counter and stole approximately $2,300 worth of alcohol and cigarettes.

Nobody was hurt during either of the incidents. They disguised themselves by wearing masks or painting their faces. During one of the incidents they were overheard speaking Spanish. The men were described as follows:

•  Suspect #1: Man in his late thirties or early forties, approximately 6 feet tall with a heavy build. He had his face painted black and was last seen wearing a red and black plaid hooded sweatshirt.

•  Suspect #2: Man, approximately 5’6” tall with a medium build. He covered his face with a brown bandana and was last seen wearing grey overalls.

Anyone who recognizes the clothing, can identify the individuals, or has any other pertinent information in this case is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
