A workplace brawl at a Gila Bend Dairy farm on Sunday afternoon left one victim with injuries consistent with stab wounds, according to Officer Chris Hegstrom from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sunday, August 9, 2015, fight erupted between employees Lenin Salazar and Armando Barraza-Cruz at the Butterflied Dairy Farm located at 40001 South Old US80, northeast of Gila Bend near Highway 85. Co-workers managed to separate the two but Barraza-Cruz returned to the worksite several minutes later brandishing a knife and stabbed Salazar who sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Barraza-Cruz was taken into custody by Sheriff’s deputies and booked in the 4th Avenue Jail on aggravated assault charges.
