On Tuesday August 25, 2015 the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a man inside of the Dragoon Saloon in Tombstone who was shooting a handgun towards the ceiling. Multiple callers advised that this subject was intoxicated and after firing the weapon he left on foot headed down Allen Street.
Tombstone Marshal Deputies responded along with Sheriff’s Office Deputies and located the subject shortly before 5:00 am where he was taken into custody.
30 year old Monte Ross, of Tombstone, was booked into the Cochise County Jail on two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of being a Prohibited Possessor of a firearm.
The investigation is being continued by the Tombstone Marshal’s Office.
