On September 2, 2015 at approximately 9 p.m., the Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) responded to the 7400 block of North Oracle Road in reference to an armed robbery. The victim reported several armed males broke into his hotel room and stole a large sum of money. The suspects fled before OVPD arrived on scene. The victim was not injured.
While this was transpiring, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Oracle Road and Ina Road. Two occupants fled and three were detained. It was discovered that these were the suspected individuals who committed the armed robbery in Oro Valley. PCSD located one more suspect in the area. The other suspect is still outstanding.
The investigation is ongoing and it appears the suspects knew the victim. Jose Juan Gil-Silva (age 25), German Gil-Enriquez (age 18), David Velasco (age 24) and Alfredo Munoz (age 23) were all charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault. If anyone has additional information, please contact OVPD at (520) 229-4900, 911 or 88-crime.
