East Tucson Homicide Under Investigation

The Tucson Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Friday morning in the 2400 block of South Adventure Trail. On September 11, 2015, just before 11:00 a.m., officers responded to several reports of shots heard in the area of South Bonanza Avenue and East Emberwood Drive.

Prior to arrival, officers learned additional information leading them to the 2400 block of South Adventure Trail.

As officers arrived on scene, they located a vehicle leaving the area occupied by an adult male and adult female. Officers made contact with the male and female and learned a person was possibly injured inside a residence.

Officers responded to the residence and noticed forced entry. The officers conducted a check inside the residence and located an adult male with gunshot trauma. The Tucson Fire Department was immediately notified and responded. However, the male was pronounced deceased on scene. The name of the male is being withheld, pending formal identification and next of kin notification.

Detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation. At this time, detectives are looking for possibly three subjects who were seen in the area at the time of the incident. Those subjects might be associated to an early 2000 model white Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban type of vehicle. Detectives are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME.
